Domingo Savio has spent 42 years caring for children in Chile. It began as an orphanage and shelter, and around 15 years ago, when regulations changed and only government-supported organizations were allowed to operate shelters, it transitioned into an after-school education center. Today, 47 children come here after school and stay until the evening. Many are referred because home is unstable, sometimes marked by violence and issues linked to alcohol or drugs. At Savio, they find a safe routine, homework support, and activities like dance and music. Volunteers also bring special classes when possible. A small but committed on-site team, including a social worker, supports both the children and their families. To bring joy during the holiday season, GM Foundation sponsored 1,000 USD to purchase Christmas gifts for the children, helping them feel celebrated, seen, and remembered.

Hogar de Ángeles (“Home of the Angels”) is a residential home in Cuenca, Ecuador for children, teens, and young adults with disabilities. Most children require tube feeding, and nearly all need diapers daily. Because many residents are non-verbal and have limited mobility, the home must provide 24-hour care, which makes daily operations both emotionally and physically demanding for the caregiving team. Caring for them requires constant attention, patience, and compassion, placing significant physical and emotional demands on the caregiving team every single day. GM is sponsoring OSSO to expand their on-site learning and daily activities by upgrading a part-time teacher (3x/week) to a full-time role, supported by an annual budget of $2,000. Casa de Las Mercedes is a safe home for girls who have experienced social abandonment and various forms of abuse at an early age. Many arrive with interrupted schooling, fragile trust, and emotional wounds that take time to heal. At the home, they receive protection, health care, education, and the chance to rediscover the joy of childhood. Through our 2025 partnership, GM Children Foundation sponsors a full-time tutor with an annual budget of USD 6,500, ensuring the girls receive additional academic support to catch up in school, stay engaged in learning, and build stronger futures.

Hogares Providencia in Mexico City was born from the vision of Father Chinchachoma, a priest who dedicated his life to children living on the streets. Today, it is a home for around 110 children and youth, offering them safety, stability, and the chance to rebuild their lives with dignity. GM Children Foundation sponsored US $6,500 to hire an additional full-time caregiver. With this support, Hogares Providencia can ease the burden on existing staff and make sure every child receives the daily attention, guidance, and love they need to grow with confidence.

Bina Siwi is a special-needs orphanage under the Ngudiraharjo Foundation, supporting children in Pajangan, a mountainous area where many with disabilities lack access to education, care, and basic welfare. Most children come from families facing severe economic hardship or abandonment, and many live with intellectual, hearing, or physical disabilities. Operating on a tight budget, the home focuses on daily care, therapy, and building each child’s independence and confidence. Through our 2025 partnership, GM Children Foundation is supporting essential repairs to doors, windows, and water taps to improve safety and daily living conditions.

For over 30 years, CANICA has welcomed children and teenagers who spend long hours on the streets of Oaxaca selling goods, accompanying working parents, or simply passing time without a safe place to go. Here, they find what many have missed: a second home, a place to rest, learn, eat well, and be greeted by name. Families receive support to ease pressures that place children at risk. Through our 2025 partnership, GM Children Foundation funded a part-time computer teacher (USD3200), providing STEAM-based classes that build digital skills, homework support, and creative problem-solving.

Founded in 2006, Berkat Children’s Home provides housing, daily care, and emotional support for children from vulnerable backgrounds. Serving both Indian and Chinese communities, the home offers a safe, nurturing environment grounded in Christian values and a strong commitment to ethical care. In 2025, GM Children Foundation partnered with Berkat to strengthen learning outcomes through a RM6,000 grant, supporting two Bahasa Melayu tutors, school supplies, and educational programs to help children bridge language gaps in Malaysia’s national school system.

Founded in 2006, Peduli Anak began with a mission to protect and educate children with nowhere else to go. Today, it is home to 140 children and provides free education to more than 100 others from nearby low-income families. With dedicated caregivers, teachers, and social workers, it has grown into one of the most comprehensive and well-run children’s organizations in Indonesia. Through our 2025 partnership, GM Children Foundation sponsored a Digital Lab Program, hiring a full-time computer teacher to help children build essential digital and technology skills.

Ava House is a community-based children’s home located on the Thailand–Myanmar border, founded by a former refugee named Dang. The home provides shelter, care, and education for children who have lost parents, escaped conflict, or come from single-parent families facing hardship. GM Children Foundation supported Ava House by funding high school tuition fees and improving the children’s living environment, from new bunk beds and mattresses to essential repairs and sanitation.

Founded in 2009 after a young child approached the founder for shelter, Baitul Qowwam has grown from caring for 4 children to 43 today. The home is known for its strong community spirit, transparent operations, and emphasis on education: building their own small school so children can continue studying safely. Through our 2025 partnership, GM Children Foundation supported the setup of a Digital Learning Lab and library shelves with new books to strengthen their learning environment and digital readiness.
